The Monroe Fire Department was called to the scene of the fire around 10:24, Wednesday, Dec. 9, at 138 Hattertown Road in Monroe.
First arriving units found the home fully engulfed in flames, said Lt. Stephen Corrone, of the Monroe Police Department.
In order to allow for emergency vehicles, Hattertown Road is currently closed in the area, he added. A detour has been set-up to accommodate residents.
Corrone said officials believe no one was home at the time of the fire.
The scene is still currently active and people are asked to avoid the area.
